Tattoo Aftercare
STEP 1: Remove the bandage 1-2 hours after getting tattooed, have a hot shower and wash your tattoo with clean hands and a mild soap. Gently wash away any ointment, dried blood or plasma, and completely clean the area. Lightly pat with a clean towel and air dry for ½ hour to 1 hour.
STEP 2: With clean hands, apply a thin layer of Bepanthen cream, rub the cream in gently 2-3 times a day.

Some people react differently to creams, so if you feel like Bepanthen is not working well for you please contact the studio.
Twice daily showers are recommended during the healing period.
Avoid saunas, spas, baths, and pools while healing, basically do not do anything that involves your tattoo being soaked in water, showers are fine.
Keep your new tattoo out of the sun, this is very important. Getting your tattoo sun burnt while healing will damage your tattoo. Once healed try to keep it out of the sun as much as possible to avoid fading, and if you are in the sun with your healed tattoo make sure you use a strong sunblock.
Your tattoo should take from 1-2 ½ weeks to heal. While it’s healing it will lightly flake and peel, resembling sun-burn peeling, except the skin flakes will have some ink pigment on them. This is normal and does not mean your tattoo's falling out.
Do not pick or scratch at this scab, as it may cause your tattoo to bleed which could result in pigment loss.
Do not shave, wax or exfoliate the area until your tattoo is fully healed.
If at any stage of the healing you have any questions please contact us at the studio.
